What information we collect
When you use the contact form on our website, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company name (if you choose to provide it)
- The subject of your inquiry
- Your message
Our web server also collects some information automatically when you visit our website:
- Your IP address and standard HTTP request headers (such as browser type and referring page)
This information is collected and stored by our server only. It is not transmitted to any third party.
We do not collect any other personal information. We do not use cookies. We do not use analytics or tracking tools. We do not require you to create an account. All fonts are self-hosted — no external font services are used.
Theme preference
Our website lets you choose between a light and dark colour scheme. If you change this setting, your preference is stored in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device — it is not sent to us or to any third party. It contains only the word "light" or "dark".
Why we collect your information
We collect personal information through the contact form for two purposes:
- To respond to your inquiry. We use your name, email, and message to read and reply to your contact request.
- To filter spam. We use automated classification to determine whether a submission is genuine or spam, so that real inquiries reach us and spam does not.
How your information is processed
When you submit the contact form, your information is processed through the following steps:
1. Spam classification
Your submission (name, email, and message) is sent to an AI language model via the OpenRouter API for automated spam classification. The model assesses whether the submission appears to be genuine or spam and returns a classification result to our server.
This is an automated decision. If your submission is classified as spam, it will not be forwarded to our team. You will not receive a notification that your message was filtered. If you believe a legitimate message was not received, please contact us directly by email.
2. Email delivery
If your submission is classified as genuine, your name, email address, company name, subject, and message are sent to Resend, a transactional email service, which delivers the message to our team as an email.
3. Logging
All submissions — whether classified as genuine or spam — are logged to our server's filesystem as a record of the contact request, along with the spam classification result.
Who receives your information
We share your personal information with the following third-party service providers:
| Provider | Country | What they receive | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| OpenRouter | United States | Name, email, message | Automated spam classification |
| Resend | United States | Name, email, company, subject, message | Email delivery to our team |
Both providers process your information solely to perform the service described. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
Your information is also stored on our web server, which is hosted in Australia.
Overseas disclosure
Your personal information is disclosed to service providers located in the United States, as described above. We require data processing agreements with our service providers to ensure your personal information is handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Automated decision-making
Our website uses automated spam classification to filter contact form submissions. This means a decision about whether your message reaches our team is made by an AI model without human review.
We use automated classification because the volume of spam submissions would otherwise prevent us from identifying and responding to genuine inquiries. If you are concerned that a legitimate message may have been filtered, you can contact us directly by email at hello@wagmi.au.
How long we keep your information
We retain contact form submissions for 24 months from the date of submission. After that period, submissions are permanently deleted from our systems.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of any information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, or misleading
- Request deletion of your personal information where we no longer need it
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@wagmi.au. We will respond within 30 days.
How to make a complaint
If you believe we have handled your personal information in a way that breaches the Australian Privacy Principles, you can contact us at hello@wagmi.au. We will investigate and respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):
- Website: www.oaic.gov.au
- Phone: 1300 363 992
- Email: enquiries@oaic.gov.au
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
